PLASTIC REGIME is a rogue design lab turning ocean plastic, bottle caps and industrial scrap into furniture, fashion, interiors and art. No greenwashing. Just shredders, ovens, hydraulic presses and radical aesthetics.
We are not a brand. We are a regime. Born in a Rotterdam garage in 2016 with a second-hand shredder and a pizza oven, Plastic Regime is now a decentralized collective of 24 designers, engineers, surfers, chemists and dumpster-divers operating labs in Amsterdam, Lisbon, Bali and Mexico City.
Every year 400M tons of plastic are produced, 91% never recycled. We intercept HDPE, PP and PET before they hit ocean — bottle caps, shampoo bottles, fishing nets, car bumpers — and transform them into terrazzo-like sheets, marbled stools, sunglasses, tiles and large-scale installations that look like candy and last 500 years.
Plastic will outlive us all. The only ethical move is to make it precious, durable and un-disposable. Our 5 laws:

Nothing is 100% sustainable, but reusing existing plastic for 20+ year objects beats virgin production by 73% CO₂ and keeps material out of ocean. We design for disassembly and take back everything for re-pressing — forever.

Yes, small-batch drops 4x per year + custom interiors for bars, hotels, offices. Every piece is numbered, signed and QR-passported. Lead time 3-6 weeks because shredding takes time.
